All day long, no matter where you go, you are developing and maintaining relationships. Having positive interaction with others is healthy. Whether dealing with family, coworkers, or neighbors, establishing healthy relationships with these people will make your days easier and your life more fulfilling.
Family Members
Relationships with family members can be the most difficult. A big part of this is because we don’t pick our family members. Unlike friends, you may not have much in common, but it is still important to stay connected. Annual family reunions and holidays are the perfect way to stay close. Building a strong relationship may take more work than with others, but having the support of family is priceless.
Coworkers
Don’t fall into that trap of trying to one-up your coworker. They will get angry, and your boss sees through this. It is better to simply get along. When you are the boss, listen to the employees and do your best to meet their needs. If you were a surgeon, you wouldn’t want to work for someone that didn’t get you the proper Phaco repair work needed for your equipment.
Neighbors
Your neighbors are a part of your home life. If you live in town or in an apartment building, the relationship you have with these people can affect your daily life. You don’t have to make them your best friend, but do take a minute to say hello and be pleasant. If they act like they want to be left alone, respect their wishes. Hopefully, they give you the same respect.
Once you get in the habit of working on each and every relationship, it will become second nature to you. By sending out a positive energy to the people you are in contact with such as family members, coworkers, and neighbors, you will receive positive energy back. Don’t let others do all the work. The rewards you get for your efforts are well worth the time.
